Performing is an exciting and important part of a dancers education, we offer several local performance opportunities. Our annual Spring Ballet Gala is our local ticketed performance which is open to the studio while offering major dancing roles to our advanced students. This performance often features invited guest performers and is held at the Fresno Memorial Auditorium.

Since Shirley Winters was appointed Artistic Director of the Central California Ballet's production of The Nutcracker, the studio has had growing involvement in the production.  Held every December at the William Saroyan Theater, students have the opportunity to perform up to 4 shows for the Fresno audience as well as local schools across the central valley. Auditions are held in August and dancers range from 5 years of age to adult. As a holiday classic in the dance world it is a joy for both dancer and audience.

Every June delivers the school wide Classroom Demonstration / Recital.  At this performance our students present to their family and friends the steps and routines they have been working on in class over the year. The emphasis is on the beginner and intermediate dancer and is often the first opportunity to be on stage.

For those dancers who are making ballet a primary activity in their young life, participation in Youth America Grand Prix is the central part of their year.  Spanning seven months of training and learning their choreography, the dancer will compete at the YAGP San Francisco Regional event held in February each year. Participant may work on performing a solo and ensemble work.  Shirley Winters Ballet students have received many top awards as well as Outstanding Studio Award 2016 and 2017.
